Publisher to Release "Hip-Hop" Bible
Published February 2009 0 CommentsGREENSVILLE, KY – In an effort to appeal to the so called “Hip-Hop” generation, New Christian Publishing has announced plans to release a new, hip-hop inspired version of the Bible.
“Kids these days, all they want to hear about is who ‘capped’ who, and how many ‘hoes’ are going to be at the next ‘banging’ party. They just don’t want to hear about who begat who,” said New Christian Publishing president Bill Sipson. “With this new version of the Bible, we’ve replaced all the names with new ones that kids can relate to. In our book, Jesus is now Method Man and the Virgin Mary will be Bootylicious Betty. It really makes kids connect to the story.”
The new Bible will be in stores this summer and is expected to retail for $49.99.
