Inspirational Film Fails To Inspire

DENVER, CO – Despite the viewing of 220 “inspirational” films where the underdogs become victorious, The Colorado Rockies lost the World Series in four straight games to the much better Boston Red Sox.
“Those films that we watched, they made (winning) look so easy,” said Rockies first baseman Todd Helton. “I mean, if you believe Hollywood, all we had to do to win the Series was find some kid or a dog that can pitch and we’d win. That shit is a lie. We brought in 15 different kids and dogs to play for us and everyone of them sucked.”
Rockies coach, Clint Hurdle, shows the films to his team in order to inspire them and show them that any obstacle can be overcome.
“After watching those films I was hopeful but then we started to play and I realized that all those movies were horse shit,” said Hurdle. “If you aren’t better then the other team, they are gonna kick your ass. No matter how ‘inspired’ you are.”
