AUSTIN, TX – Governor Greg Abbott has announced a new plan to address the homeless crisis in Texas – large rugs. Beginning next week very large rugs will be placed over homeless camps in the state.

“As of next week, the homeless issue will be gone. We won’t see homeless people anymore,” said Abbott. “You’ll be able to look out of your window while you are driving around this beautiful state and you won’t see homeless people. Just a bunch of really nice rugs.”

The rugs, which are estimated to cost more than $600 million, will be provided by one of Abbott’s campaign donors.
