LOS ANGELES, CA – Making it official, the National Board of What’s Funny announced today that the Rapping Granny gimmick is no longer funny.
“We thought it had run its course but we weren’t sure until just recently,” said NBWF spokesman Gene Renyolds. “It was funny for a little while but now… it’s just sad.”
With the announcement, any rapping granny gimmicks used in movies, TV or music will be regarded as unfunny and should be avoided at all costs.
“Adam Sandler and the Wayans Brothers will have a real hard time with this but I think it’s for the best,” said Renyolds.
