Christ Apologizes for Swine Flu Joke

HONOLULU, HI – In a recent press conference, Jesus H. Christ apologized for making an inappropriate joke about the swine flu during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!.” The joke, which implied that the swine flu started after a Mexican citizen had sex with a pig, has caused a huge backlash against the spiritual leader.

“I thought that it was an innocent little joke, but I should have known that it would totally be taken the wrong way,” Christ said. “You’re talking to (Kimmel) and the jokes are flying and you say something that you shouldn’t. It happens to all celebrities. It was a bestiality joke, I didn’t mean to imply that all the people in Mexico fuck animals. The only reason I even said Mexico was because that’s where this whole thing started.”

Many groups, including several Christian groups, have come out in protest of Christ. Despite the backlash, Christ is confident that the controversy will blow over quickly.

“I’m not too mad at the people who hate me, because next week Lindsey Lohan will have sex with something she’s not supposed to and snorting something that she’s not supposed to and everyone will forget about me,” Christ said.
